Rebecca Sutton Clinical Hypnotherapist Cheshire
Hi my name is Rebecca Sutton and I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP and EFT practitioner. I help people face to face and online with anxiety, trauma and stress to create better lives for themselves and I work from my therapy room in Northwich, Cheshire.
My greatest passion is to support my clients I have always been drawn to caring and helping, even as far back as my teens I became interested in Psychology and why people do what they do. To begin with, I worked within hospitals, in the community and with individuals as a support worker and carer. While I enjoyed helping elderly or disabled clients, mental health was the one area that I had the most interest in. This led me to finding my purpose – helping people change their lives.
I found myself experiencing these issues from the inside when I ended up in an abusive relationship. My confidence was shattered and I was experiencing a lot of anxiety. When I discovered Hypnotherapy it absolutely changed my life. I made the decision to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming, which enabled me for the first time to be able to identify the reality of my situation. The skills I learned helped me to not only escape and rebuild my life and confidence, but to begin to use my skills to really make a difference to people’s lives. I saw at first hand just how powerful the mind truly is, and what we are really capable of when given the right tools.
Since 2005 I have added many other techniques, skills and methods along the way, as I discovered the most effective ways of helping people. I found EFT in 2006 and to this day I think that it is truly the most useful thing I have ever learned. It is so gentle, so easy to do and has such profound results. I teach this to the majority of my clients and encourage them to share this tool with anyone who needs it. I enjoy teaching and taught EFT and Stress and Anxiety classes at my local college with adult learners and within the community, for learners with mental health issues.
Over the years I have worked with Domestic Violence organisations, support groups and social enterprises sharing these amazing tools with service users and staff. I currently also work on a suicide prevention helpline in addition to my private practice and am deeply grateful for the chance to do what I do.
There is nothing that brings me more joy than seeing my clients grow and recover and become the people they really are, when they can heal trauma, anxiety and depression. I believe that we all have the resources we need to overcome the things that have held us back, and I see my role is that of the facilitator. To show you how to remove the blocks and heal the things that have hurt you and how to find your way back.
